Vi på Saltkråkan (Seacrow Island) (1964-67) was a Tv series with Astrid Lindgren as a script writer.

The script written directly for the series. Olle Hellbom was the director.

The series is about some families in the Roslagen Archipelago. One is permanent residents,

real Rospiggar. And the rest is summer guests. It’s not any fault to claim that Swedes love

Saltkråkan more than Pippi Långstocking. If that is possible?

Svt told 2021 that a remake is in the doing. With outraged protests on Social media that followed.

The actors were for all time associated with Saltkråkan. Most filming were done at island Norröra.
Hasse and Tage from Att angöra en brygga plays two stupid smugglers,Ruskprick och Knorrhane,

in the series from 1967.

Loads of feelgood.

Att angöra en brygga (To Go Ashore) (1965). Is a masterpiece made by the giants in Swedish humor,

Hasse and Tage. 

Hans Alfredsson (that plays Örnens father in season 2 of Örnen) and Tage Danielsson.

Togheter they are legends in the Swedish comedy genre. The film shows bit of dark,

very dark humor about a traditional Swedish crayfish party that never happens.

Notable actors are Gösta Ekman ( Martin Beck in the 1990 film series), Monica Zetterlund,

Swedish Jazz Singer and Actor.

Very Comedy Noir!

Skärgårdsdoktorn (1997-2000) was a drama series about a Doctor and his daughter that moves back to the Archipelago

from humanitarian work in Africa. The Doctor put up his practice at the Fictitious island of Saltö.

A Doctor at Djurö was said to be the inspiration. Main Actor Samuel Fröler.
No Noir at all, Just feelgood!

Badjävlar is a Movie produced for Svt in 1971. A drama with a bit dark comedy about the exploitation

of the small costal towns in Roslagen. The conflict between big city capitalism and the old ways is the

main theme. Mostly filmed in Öregrund and Östhammar in North Roslagen.

Political Comedy Noir!

Rötmånad (Am title: Dog Day, Brit title: What Are You Doing After the Orgy?) (1970) is a satire and parody of the wave of Swedish sex films. Nudity and politics in a mix. Porn actress and model Christina Lindberg does several nude scenes. The way non Swedes look at Swedish nudity. The political theme is a bit the same as in Badjävlar. And a dark humor in the mix.

Political Comedy Noir and nudity!

Hemsöborna  (1919, 1944, 1955, 1966) Swedish Author August Strindberg wrote the novel Hemsöborna 1887 in exile. The story has been filmed several times. 

The opening quote “"Han kom som ett yrväder en aprilafton och hade ett höganäskrus i en svångrem om halsen." is a must know for any educated Swede. 

Hemsö is a fictitious island. The real Island is supposed to be Kymmendö in the south part of the Archipelago.

The Nordic Noir mood was more or less invented by August Strindberg during the 19th century together with Norwegan Painter Edvard Munch. Danish H.C Andersen was not a sunshine mood guy either. That the Nordic way to tell stories, not least in Crime fiction.
