BnB or a Police Station at the Ystad Harbor?

The police stations, in the different Wallander series have different locations. And there is probably a reason for not using the real police stations like they do in the Danish series like Forbrydelsen. It is mostly forbidden to film or take photographs of the Stations. A few exceptions and a possible permit might get you do it. But to save time and money. The filmakers use another building.

In Rolf Lassgårds Wallander. The first Tv Wallander many scenes were not filmed in Ystad.

So when the second Wallander took in a whole series of full lenght episodes for the first season of Wallander they choose a brick building in the old reigiment area.

2st season of the Henriksson series were filmed in the old train station. In the harbor. Today it is a Better Bead n Breakfast and a nice café. no on 2 on the map.

3rd Henriksson series have a similar brickbuilding as in the two earlier series. But is much smaller.

Ystads former bathhouse have to serve as Sir Branaghs Wallander Police Station. Today it is a hotel, conference center and a gym.
